SwissPiranha – Where an Idea Became a World Standard

It started with an uncomfortable moment outdoors: a protruding metal peg, playing children, an unnecessary risk. From that simple observation, an idea was born that would change camping forever.

SwissPiranha was founded with a clear vision: reinvent the tent peg – lighter, safer, more sustainable. Conventional metal pegs are heavy, sharp-edged and energy-intensive to produce. We wanted to do better – in every way.

The result is the  SwissPiranha RT150, made from our proprietary high-performance plastic PiranhaNT.

Light as a feather, with up to four times the pull-out resistance of conventional pegs – and a manufacturing process that is up to 13 times more energy-efficient than aluminium pegs. Swiss engineering at its best.

What started as a single peg is today a complete product family:

• RT90 – ultra-light for small tents and tarps
• RT120 – the versatile all-rounder for medium-sized tents
• RT150 – the classic that started it all
• RT180 – strong and versatile for larger tents
• RT220 – robust and powerful for large tents and tipis
• Snow and Sand Anchors – winner of the Outdoor Industry Award 2015

And we’re not standing still. With the BlackFisk line made from 100% recycled plastic and the GreenSharks from bio-based materials, we prove that sustainability isn’t a marketing buzzword – it’s how we do business.
