Dank der Verwendung von Hochleistungskunststoffen ist der Schneeanker ca. 50% leichter als vergleichbare Modelle aus Metall und bleibt elastisch bei Tiefsttemperaturen (-50°). Durch die spezielle Geometrie lässt er sich einfach in den Schnee schieben und hat einmal verankert eine sehr hohe Ausreisskraft. Höhere Belastung der Ankerseile erhöht zusätzlich die Ausreisskraft.
