It could not be greener! GreenShark tent pegs are made from 100% PiranhaBT, a bio-based plastic of plant origin and are GMO-free. Forgotten herrings will rot in the ground after several years – similar to a piece of wood. Innovative and naturally made in Switzerland, they offer clear advantages over conventional metal pegs: they are ultra-light and, thanks to their flat profile nice on barefoot campgrounds. Their tapered shape enables easy driving into the ground, while the x-shaped cross section with sawtooth ensures a secure hold in a wide variety of soils. The flat head maximizes strength and holding power in all conditions by compressing the soil underneath. Notches inside the head can be used for attaching the guy lines in different ways and ensure best anchoring – even in heavy wind. Since SwissPiranha tent pegs are completely sunk into the ground at a 90° angle, the risk of injury drops to zero and there are no sharp edges that damage the tent fabric. Of course, used GreenShark pegs can be recycled again – they are even biodegradable and compostable!
The SwissPiranha GS150 is suitable for both hard and soft floors and can be used for small to medium-sized tents and tarps, as well as ultra-light backpacking.
